April 29, 2020 Update

Dear Friends,

Tonight at 7:00PM, we will have our Wednesday Night “LIVE” Bible Study. This week we will be looking at “The Creation Era” from Genesis 1-11. There are two worksheets for the study tonight. When you print them, you can print them front and back. The worksheets are attached. You can watch the study here at our church website or from our church Facebook page at https://facebook.com/pg/cornerstonecharlotte/posts.

You can join thousands of Christians across the country on Tuesday, May 5, for as a special day of prayer and fasting. “Praying on the Mountain” is being led by Fred Lunsford and the Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. Fred Lunsford is asking God to impress upon the hearts of at least 100,000 Christians to join him in prayer from their own special place of prayer, as he prays on the mountain on May 5. Fred is 95 years old, a prayer warrior, and has been faithfully preaching the gospel for over 70 years. You can find more information on this special event at https://www.mudcreekchurch.org/prayingonthemountain.

Thank you to those who have given financially in support of our church and her ministries. If you haven’t yet done so, as you are able and as the Lord leads, please consider making a donation to our church and her ministries. There are three primary ways you can give:

1. Give here at our church website by clicking on the “Give” tab.

2. Give by mailing a check or money order to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.

3. Give using your cell phone by texting “Eph220” to the number 73256. Once you send the text, you will be given a prompt on how to complete your transaction.

As you probably are aware, Governor Cooper has extended the current restrictions until May 11. After that, some restrictions may begin to be lifted as the state enters Phase One of our Governor’s three-part plan to reopen our state. Currently, indications are the 10-person rule will remain in effect throughout Phase One. As of this writing, we don’t yet know exactly when or how we will be able to gather together again as a church. Accordingly, we are continuing to do all we can to make our Sunday Morning and Wednesday evening Livestream experience as good as possible and as available as possible to everyone. While we have had some issues in the past few weeks, we have worked hard to correct them. As you can imagine, there is a lot of technical knowledge and application involved in making the Livestream happen. One incorrect setting in any of the several programs and drivers needed can cause the entire stream to degrade or collapse. God has given us an excellent team of talented individuals who have worked countless hours to make our Livestream possible. Thank you for your continued feedback, and your prayers, support, and patience as we continue to refine our Livestream.

If there is anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me at pastorcbcclt@gmail.com.

In His Love,

Pastor Ted
