Mike & Susan Justice
Email address: sbjustice@carolina.rr.com
I have lived and worked in Charlotte all of my life except for my years in college. I graduated from Mars Hill College with a degree in vocal performance in 1975. I met my husband, Mike, at Mars Hill during my junior year. We married in 1977. We have two great sons, Aaron and David. They live in Mt. Pleasant, SC. When the boys were young, I worked part-time for BellSouth and then became a full time teacher assistant with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. In February of 1994 I was working in the Media Center of an elementary school when I was called by Cornerstone as an interim, part-time Minister of Music. Then in August of 1996, I accepted the call as full time Minister of Music.
What book are you reading now?
"The Way I Was Made” by Chris Tomlin
Where do you hope to experience Spiritual Growth in the coming year?
I am praying that the Lord will give me wisdom as I evaluate the needs of our community and church and determine how the Music Ministry can meet those needs.
What do you appreciate the most about the people of Cornerstone?
I appreciate our congregation’s heart for doing and giving to missions - locally, in the United States and around the world.
What is in your IPOD right now?
I don’t own one. I am not very technologically advanced! My car radio is tuned to sports talk radio or a Christian music station. I enjoy listening to CDs of contemporary Christian choirs and artists when I travel.
What is your most memorable vacation?
David was living on Maui for a year and a half. Aaron and I went to see him for 10 days. We had a fantastic time!
What is your favorite thing to do in Charlotte?
I enjoy going out to eat with friends. When I am not in Charlotte, I prefer to be sitting on the beach with a good book.
